Then is the two-electron density matrix the same as second order reduced density matrix?
I feel difficault to make a connection with the second-quantinization representation.
For example, in the second quantinization, the one electron density matrix element Dpq is <CSF|Epq|CSF>, where Epq is the excitation operator for electron 1.
But in the notation of reduced density matrix, the generalized 1-order reduced density matrix is gamma(x1, x1'). The electron 1 is in two different coordinates.
What is the connection there?
