标题: gaussian搜索过渡态时为什么会出现maximum steps [打印本页]

标题: gaussian搜索过渡态时为什么会出现maximum steps
用gaussian进行过渡态搜索，关键词如下：
opt=(TS,calcfc,noeigen) ub3lyp/6-31g(d) em=gd3bj scrf=(solvent=water）
关键词中并没有设置步数，但是在输出文件的第326行出现以下文字：
Number of steps in this run= 162 maximum allowed number of steps= 234.
请问这个162和234分别都是怎么来的？请各位老师指教。以下是输出文件的截取，原文件太长。

跟优化的变量数有关，变量数越多则最大步数也越多，高斯会根据你的结构自动设置，但具体关系我不太清楚

General Procedural Options
MaxCycles=N
Sets the maximum number of optimization steps to N. The default is the maximum of 20 and twice the number of redundant internal coordinates in use (for the default procedure) or twice the number of variables to be optimized (for other procedures).
