CSC candidates are welcome to apply to work with Prof. Stefan Bromley (CV attached) who heads the Nanoclusters and Nanostructured Materials research group (www.ub.edu/nnmgroup) at the University of Barcelona (Spain). The group employs quantum chemical, classical atomistic and machine learning based methods and is also active in developing new modelling approaches. The group’s research follows three main themes:

1) 2D organic quantum materials (e.g. spintronics, magnetoelectric systems, quantum computing)

2) Inorganic nanoclusters and nanostructured materials for energy applications (e.g TiO2, ZnO).

3) Nano-sized cosmic dust particles (e.g. nanosilicates, astrochemistry).

Requirements: 1) solid background in chemistry and/or physics, 2) a reasonable level of spoken/written English (Spanish is not required). Experience with computational modelling and programming skills in Python would also be beneficial.
