本科以英语学习，若参与培训班会否有困难?

I've checked the contents of workshops on the website and found that its quit concise to give necessary background and tips to apply the technique. It seems to let the participants learn the technique systematically, which is what I need. Previously I'm self-studying with textbooks and Google. I'm interested in joining the workshop or getting materials from previous workshops, however I have some concerns on the possible language barrier for me.

Generally I can communicate with fellow students in Mandarin, but not very fluent. If they speak too fast I may not be able to follow.

For the understanding scientific contents, since English is the medium of instruction for my undergraduate education I also worried it'd be difficult for me to follow.

Some examples of language barrier I have encountered:
1. When I have learned about this forum and related blogpost, it took me some time to realize 量化=quantum chemistry instead of quantify.

2. I've tried to discuss with a new professor in my department about my research in Chinese, he greet me in English after that day.

I don't think there will be any difficulty. The paper handout is very detailed, so if you have trouble following the lecturer, you can still smoothly understand the content by carefully reading the handout. In addition, the workshop provides a full recording, so you can listen to it repeatedly if you don't hear clearly. The wording in the handout is very standard, and abbreviations such as "量化" rarely appear in it.
