Two PhD openings in the direction of theoretical and computational chemistry at the chemistry department of George Mason University. The positions are fully funded (including tuition, living stipend, health insurance) with a flexible starting time: Spring/Fall. He received his B.S. from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2012 and obtained his PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in 2018. His research interest primarily lies in methodology development for simulating charge and exciton transfer in biological and functional materials, and using quantum computers for the potential speedup. We expect self-motivated individuals with the following qualifications: 1. Earned bachelor’s or maters’ degree by the date of admission in chemistry, physics, materials science, computer science or applied math. 2. Strong interest in quantum dynamics and computer simulation. 3. Good communication skills in English 4. Preferred qualifications: coding skills, records of research and publication.
